Shades of Elian Gonzales

UPDATE: 051905 1620 PDT: Evidently, the Feddle Gummint DOES NOT KNOW WHICH SIDE IT'S BREAD IS BUTTERED ON. The Feds just locked up Carriles pending an immigration hearing. He seems to have a good lawyer, though, and since some of the guards in the pokey are probably sons and daughters of Cuban ex-pats, he won't suffer much in the slam. I'll keep you posted if there's a defense fund raised up. Read this Yahoo! News brief

*************************************************************************

When will the F*****g Federal Gummint realize that the Cuban Americans are on their side? If the shameful deportation of little Elian by the Clinton goons wasn't enough, now Bush seems willing to deport a Cuban exile back to a certain death at the hands of the murderous Castro and/or his stooge, Chavez of Venezula.

Luis Posada Carriles, a old man of 77, but an anti-Castro fighter since the '60's, has just been arrested in Miami on the request of Uncle Fidel and his stooge, Venezulan Presidente (for Life, since he keeps rigging elections) Chavez.

Even this lefty story admits that Carriles has twice been acquitted of the charges the Venezulan government brought against him, but since that favela of South America sees fit to keep acquitted defendants imprisoned until the prosecutor finishes his many appeals, Carriles escaped and fled the country. For some strange reason, we still have an extradition treaty with Venezula, dispite the fact that it has a clearly-Marxist dictator running it now, and Chavez wants him back.

Castro is another matter. There is no reason on God's green earth why we should even piss on Castro if he was on fire. The man invented the "killing fields", and probably killed as many disidents in the infamous Islos dos Pinos prison as the Nazis did in some of their concentration camps. This government needs to apply a simple rule to Castro: Every Day, in Every Way, he must be opposed until freedom is returned to that proud little nation.

Los Cubanos have the biggest cojones, or they would all be dead by now on the starvation diet that their Glorious Leader allows them. We have many of the best and brightest Cubans right here in the USA, where, unlike some of their fellow Latinos, they insist on working and paying their way. To a family, they all long for the day when they might return to a free Cuba.

Los Cubanos supported George Bush, and look at how he wants to pay them back: by shafting one of their patriot/heroes back into a Communist prison to die.

This is a disgrace, and my faithful readers would be doing the Right thing by letting their congresspeople know of their disapproval.

Also, we owe our fellow blogger Val Prieto of Babalu Blog a vote of confidence, as this doughty Cubano tries to get the power of the blogosphere concentrated against Castro and for Cuban liberty. Fidel ordered his blog blocked from Cuban access via the Internet. That tells me that Val is having good effect against Castro.

This post on BabaluBlog will tell you how to get a Babalu T-shirt. You can see right into the soul of Free Cuba through those eyes!

Muchas Gracias, amigo y guerrero!
