Didn't do a digital damn thing this weekend. Went out on my boat (without the Mrs, who was supposed to go to Seattle with a gal-pal). Tried to cruise to Sand Island in St. Helens, but a half-gale had the river so bumpy and the anchorage so rolly that we only stayed one night. Had dinner with the Doctor-Daughter aboard. Glad to see that she had sea-legs and got it all down and kept it down. Got up next morning and did the short cruise to Coon Island (don't get me started on why the State wants to change the name of the island and it's Marine Park). Loafed around with an old war-buddy on his boat, drank some of his beers, jumped in the river (getting too old to swim against the current, so I was glad of the floating safety line I threw in first), cooled off, saved the precious fresh water in my tank, disregarded showering, drank more beers. Repeated the next day, left when he was down to one beer.
All in all, got a lot of sun, did no blogging (didn't even take the puter), ran a lot of beer thru the kidneys to keep THEM youthful and didn't burn too much fuel. With temps at 90 and blistering sun, I now have an idea of what kind of sunshades I need for the Lofoten Girl. Need to take a trip to Mazatlan, MX to get them made.
Got a look at a new motoryacht, a Meridian 40. This is the former Bayliner, but now updated with turbo'd Cummins diesels and a fine new interior layout.
Time to go shut off the sprinklers so the construction gang coming tomorrow won't have to wear knee-boots to work in.
Message to Mr. Completely: nice artful dodge of my meme-tag, buddy. I'll be laying in wait for you when you get back from your fishing trip.
