On tonight's TeeVee program, host Bill O'Reilly was pulling one of his famous "I'm not really a conservative" moments, and, like the local newspaper I wrote about here, he tripped on his Richard and got it all wrong.
He was, of course, speaking about Cho and how he got his guns, while speaking with (shout if I have this wrong) Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.
O'Reilly made some offhand remark about how guns are easy to get at private sales and "on the Internet".
Dummy.
The good Senator set him straight.
People, Cho was able to get guns because his whacko mental condition was not reflected in any database of whackos who must, by law, remain unarmed.
It's that simple. It has NOTHING to do with gun shows, Internet gun sales or any other method of transferring guns, INCLUDING private sales.
The idiotarians like O'Reilly who bloviate that it DOES have to do with gun transfers are not only wrong, they are dupes and simple tools of the gun-banners and Constitution-destroyers.
This was a classic O'Reilly moment, like others he has mouthed, which demonstrate he is nowhere near the "Culture Warrior" which he claims to be.
O'Reilly, listen up: it's the Constitution you are tearing down here, and all claims of being a Culture Warrior are repudiated for those who refuse to defend ALL parts of their Constitution.
You owe us an apology for your failure to defend the Second, O'Reilly. We won't get it because you have an ego which writes checks that your principles don't pay for, and your apology is worthless before it's given.
Pull down your Conservative shingle, O'Reilly. You've failed the course to be a Culture Warrior. Go join the liberals, who loved this screed tonight.
Rivrdog-
Thank the Lord I missed that O'Reil-LIE episode, or I might have a TV with some slugs in it...
