Sorry ladies, this is a guy thing...
The ladies have their little pinch-purse lights, but it is an addiction with many men.
I don't subscribe to the "Tommy Tactical" idea of putting lights on weapons. It is fine for clearing houses, may even be necessary for that, but I happen to believe that any light coming from you at night just makes you a better target in any kind of night gun duel.
When the SHTF, I hope to not be in buildings, but commanding their exteriors from cover at a distance.
For peaceful uses where normal lighting isn't available, careful planning and purchasing of the right lighting gear makes life much easier.
