Works against pirates, too.
It seems that the Somali pirates holding Capt. Phillips threw away their tactical advantage by allowing their craft, a lifeboat with an empty fuel tank, to be tied off to the US Navy DD while their leader was aboard the DD "negotiating".
The SEALs apparently had a "green light", and at some point, were able to get all three pirates guarding the Captain in their sights at once. One shot each, and the show is over except for the reports (and the farce trial that will result in Ney Yawk for the remaining pirate, who was taken alive).
Having had POW-resistance training at the infamous mock-POW camp run by the DOD in NE WA, I'm here to tell you that sleep deprivation WORKS! When you're lacking proper rest and have been up for 4 or 5 days, your brain is operating at maybe 20% efficiency.
You WILL make mistakes.
The pirates did, and they are dead because of it.
Sic Semper Tyrannis.
Now let's hammer down on the rest of them.
What did they expect to happen. Their fate was sealed the minute they boarded.
