BTW, in the same speech, Mister President blew it: in refering to Biden as the sponsor of the AWB of 1994. According to studies that this same Federal Government paid for, the AWB was at BEST a push, not improving anything. In reality, by restricting the rights of citizens to be able to use their 2A Civil Right, the AWB-94 was an abject failure that took 12 years to overcome, 12 years of diminished Civil Rights. Biden was responsible for that failed concept, and now he's asked to come up with another failure?
BTW2, to add emphasis to his gun control push, Obama cited about 5 instances of gun violence which occurred over the weekend. But Wait! There's More! What did Obama leave out? Why, he left out the 8 people who died in one 24-hour period in his hometown of Chicago, where people are not allowed their Civil Right to Keep and Bear. Yes, the worst post-Newtown gun violence has been in chicago, but it didn't rate a mention by Obama. I didn't record all the places of the violence he DID name off, but it seemed that most of them were in the Heartland. Curious. This type of violence is a true anomaly in the heartland, but it is the norm in the Gun Free City of Chicago. What utter balderdash and propaganda!
