That whole firearm nomenclature thing...

...is a loser, for now. This is a case of swatting the gnats while the killer bees are swarming.

You want to jump into the TeeVee and choke out the asshole from DeeCee who railed against "multi-bullet clips", but there are so many of these cretins out there, we have to get more selective now. I've lost track of the times I've heard "Assault Rifle" used to describe AR-15s. One of our local stations, KPTV-12, actually had a copywriter prepare a proper nomenclature blurb, and the newsbabe correctly read it off, but then in the next sentence, reverted to "Assault Weapon".

There's no hope, we're wasting our breath.

Let's concentrate our 2A counter-battery fires here.

Every one of the anti-2A jerks is either "Treasonous", or at the least, a "Civil Rights Denier" from now on. Leave the nomenclature battle alone. We got swarmed on that one. Further comments and letters to the editor on nomenclature abuse make us look like Clinton parsing the definition of  "is".
