Taking a "combat nap" in the 2A fight. Still in the 2A battle-rattle, have good troops on overwatch, but I'm a bit burned out just now on the whole mess, and I need a break. When it's time to march again, I'll be watching for the actual 23 Executive Orders, and will read those, plus I'll start to follow the progress of the State AWB here in OR. Could be the State AWB will get even more attention now that the prospects for a Federal AWB are all but dead.
Another thing to watch: is the GOP's heart really in this fight? I just heard two prominent "conservatives" discuss giving ground on the 2A, with the squishy conservative Bill O'Reilly saying he would support Federal registration of ALL firearms. Does he actually support the 2A at all? Can't prove it by me.
OTOH, retired Federal Judge Andrew Napolitano reportedly supports a de jure view of the 2A, opining that if the issue had come to his court he would have ruled that the 2A is foremost a right to be armed with appropriate military weapons, with which to arm a Militia, and secondarily for personal defense. I have to look up his remarks and report on them here.
In the coming days, I will look at and opine on this Militia aspect, and look at the structure of a "well-regulated" Militia which might be appropriate for rescuing the Free State.
Inside of the eyelids looking good now....
