A letter from about a week ago. The Boregonian only publishes about 6-8 letters per week, because they are a minimalist cage-liner these days. This letter likely will not make it into print.
Our ruling elites have, in their infinite wisdom, accepted the public risks associated with granting legality to another intoxicating substance, cannabis, and they say they did this out of an abundance of concern for progress in individual liberty.
Why do these same ruling elites then turn around and force onerous restrictions on another public risk, that of keeping and bearing firearms, the risks of which are already accepted by being firmly enshrined in our Bill of Rights?
I must have skipped the section in our Constitution which permits our elites the use of illogic, hypocrisy AND the denial of civil rights.
For me, Donald Trump has been the "Anti-PeeCee", and that is his sole value as a candidate. Quite frankly, I care not if he ever gets to the GOPe primary, it's what he is accomplishing NOW that will make a difference. He is showing, without a doubt, that the GOPe base is fed up to here with the party acting like a bunch of Democrats, and being indistinguishable from them. Of late though, he has slipped a bit in the polls, most likely due to a decent performance by Carly Fiorina in the dee-bate last week. Carson is also up, and between Carson and Fiorina, both of them are trashing PeeCee mightily.
Political Correctness is nothing but thought control, and through thought control, speech control and behavior control. PeeCee depends for it's very existence as a concept on the idea that none of it's core precepts is ever challenged. Concepts such as the perceived "right" to take offence at anything and have that perceived offence translated into political action (or riot, which then must be overlooked regardless of the crimes involved), or political lying of the most blatant order (see the Climate Change death cult), none of which is ever challenge-able, you get the idea.
Our political system works if, and ONLY if, people are free to speak their minds, and when a political movement arises that runs against the very idea of free speech, that MOVEMENT MUST DIE!
Trump, Fiorina and Carson are killing PeeCee, bit by bit. Now, if we could only get the rest of the candy-dates to take up these cudgels, the GOPes might be able to present a real difference to the Left in next year's Election.
Every outlet of the press is eating up the emo radiating from the Bethel AME Church in Charleston, SC, where the horrific murders of nine people took place. WE should mourn, yes. We can even begin to think about political implications, too, now.
Political implications generally begin with historical review, so let's look at the AME Church and see what it's politics have been, over the years.
This particular Church started out in 1865. Some say it was organized in 1860, but given that SC was a Pro-Slave state at that time, It's unlikely. There were few SC black "freedmen" then, and those who were free, usually didn't make the sort of waves necessary to start a church.
In 1965, the South lost the Civil War, and was invaded by occupiers, some from the Union Army, but more were the opportunists known locally as "carpetbaggers", many of whom came to the South to cram the North's victory down Southern throats. You must realize that while there were more freedmen then (technically, all negroes were free then), nowhere had these freedmen actually been freed, even in the North, because segregation of the races was still the rule. A few blacks were used as political standard-bearers by the Re-Constructionists ("reconstruction" was an odd word for the occupation of the South, because these Northerners were there to finish General Sherman's job of pillaging the South, and they did NO reconstruction of any sort).
Part of "reconstruction" was directing the blacks into their own, segregated churches, and that's when the African Methodist-Episcopal Churches were formed. The leaders of these churches were given a pro-forma way to pray, a pro-forma education for their pastors, and even the vestments of the pastors were standardized. One moment, nothing, then BOOM! organized religion for the blacks. Who pulled all those puppet strings? Those same reconstructionists who were still pillaging the South.
The reconstructionists (carpetbaggers) found resentment wherever they went in the South, so for their own protection, they allied themselves with local politicians. Politicians are known for selling their souls, so selling their culture out was easy. When enough of these bonds had been formed, the birth of the Dixiecrats was underway. Along with the Dixiecrats came the KKK. Along with the KKK came terrorist methods of instilling fear, in the blacks, as a way to keep them from actually getting any value from their free status. The "sharecropping" system of agriculture was developed, and it was difficult to tell from slavery. The sharecroppers were paid pittance wages for their work, but they had to buy everything from the farmers, and saved nothing.
As citizens, blacks were entitled to own guns, but the Dixiecrats saw that as a bad thing, so various laws were passed barring blacks from bearing arms. This policy was preached as "good" from the AME Churches, which by the mid 1870's, had become models of the white-controlled behavior of blacks. In fact, pretty much everything the KKK wanted was sold to the blacks via their AME Churches. Whenever an AME Church defied the KKK/Dixiecrat alliance, the Church was usually burned. That happened to Charleston's Bethel AME twice. They got the "message".
Today's AME Churches are still beholden to/puppets of the successors to the Dixiecrats, which faded away in the 1960's due to the Civil Rights movement. Those successors are today's Democratic Party. It is ironic that even after today's blacks have achieved some level of parity with whites and other races in the USA, they still parrot the old political garbage, and foremost among those scraps of political offal is "No Guns for Negroes".
In Portland, the Emeritus Pastor of the AME Church is Rev. Leroy Haynes. Just listen to the Reverend trash the Second Amendment, even as his congregants are getting murdered in their dozens every year by black thugs, he still preaches "No Guns for Negroes". He has had to expand that a bit, so he's really preaching "No Guns for Anyone" today.
It's all History folks, look it up if you don't believe me. Download JPFO's fine book, "No Guns for Negroes", where everything I have just said is documented.
The big news this week has been over a Bill in the AZ Legislature which would have allowed businesses to act as individuals and claim religious "rights" to discriminate based on their chosen religious tenets. It was a bad bill, and deserved veto, for no other reason that the Founders granted INDIVIDUALS certain rights, and corporations only the right to exist. Making corporations legally equal to individuals leads to corporate oligarchy, and needs to be fought at every turn.
So, huge pressure was put on the conservative Governor of AZ, Jan Brewer, and we had to again witness the ugly spectacle of "gay pride" being paraded before the cameras. When the Federally-protected corporation known as the NFL chimed in with dark threats to cancel the next Super Bowl, scheduled for Glendale AZ, Gov. Brewer knuckled under and vetoed the bill.
This got your blogger to thinking, and posing himself a "what-if":
What if the early attempts to integrate the races in the USA had proceeded on the "gay pride" model, instead of the model of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr?
Let's look at this.
The "gay pride" model tell us that gays are SOOOO different, and this is accentuated by the outlandish clothing, the dyed hair, the suggested or actual sexual contact before the cameras. It's all "in your face", and it sends the INTENDED message of "we're here, we're queer, get used to us". I, like most other conservatives, don't give a rip what you do in the privacy of your homes, but I also believe that ANY conduct on the order of what passes for "gay pride" should not get public exhibition in a civilized society.
Dr. King's model. Having the exact same problem of selling a skeptical public on the acceptance of "different" people, Dr. King said: MINIMIZE THE DIFFERENCES, ACCENTUATE THE SIMILARITIES to the majority society.
Dr. King succeeded with his message, and the queers have failed with theirs.
Consider: What do you think would have happened if the blacks of the 1950's had used the "gay pride" model to get their desire for integration heard? Malcolm X and Huey Newton tried with this model and failed, BTW.
Answer, we would still have Jim Crow laws, that's what. Our society would not have made the last 60 years of racial-acceptance progress.
Another Black History Month comes to a close. During the Month, like many other Februaries since this Month was declared by the black student union at Kent State University in 1970, we have had a steady diet, predictably, of the good works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Every "movement" has to have a hero, and for those chronicling the achievements of blacks in the USA, Dr. King is the obvious choice.
There's just one problem:
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr didn't give blacks the biggest push towards equality, the US Army did, led by GEN. Dwight D. Eisenhower. In the late stages of WW2 in Europe, US Army units had a severe problem replacing soldiers taken out of action by battle casualties. Eisenhower, the CIC in Europe, had a surplus of black troops, which were, up until then, segregated in certain units, mostly construction/engineering battalions and logistics units. There were no blacks in front-line combat outfits, the Tuskeegee Airmen being a notable exception (a pet project of FLOTUS Eleanor Roosevelt at the time). In 1944, Eisenhower ordered the integration of the entire Army, including front-line units. In 1948, President Truman issued an Executive Order to formally integrate the military, but it was the press of casualty replacement again, in the Korean War, that drove the integration to the reality we find it at today. As time went on in the Fifties, senior black NCOs began leaving the Army, and they were snapped up by business and industry.
That was the start of racial integration in the USA, folks. You won't see it discussed on "sound-bite" TV, it's much easier for TV producers to slap up a vignette of Dr. King, and his good works led to many such vignettes, but the US military led the way to break the color barriers in this Nation. Every thing that followed was basic mop-up.
...does not translate into more blogging, only the blaaahs. Four days of winter storm now....
In other news, my favorite squish, Bill O'Reilly, just got taken to the woodshed, here. O'Reilly is an unabashed Christie-hugger, and has adopted the Christie-squishy Obama bromance as his own. No one knows whether O'Reilly is actually a Republican, so it may not be accurate to call him a RINO, but it's certainly accurate to call him a CYSTO - Conservative Yankee, Self Titled Only. In other words, an ass-loving boil on the posterior.
The music is starting: the drip-sounds of the thaw. Here's the visual prospect:
I'll just listen to the winter sounds of my yesteryears....
The 2A-stomping, Mafia-acting Governor of New Jersey, our favorite large bully, has done another stomping of the Constitution.
This hasn't made the MSM yet, and probably won't, considering said media are in bed with the homosexual lobby, but you can read it in World Net Daily, right here.
You have to RTWT, because this Christie turd is in the next-to-last paragraph.
To sum up, Chris Christie has now stomped on the First AND Second Amendments, his staff has adopted Mafia tactics to help their Godfather get re-elected, and the Godfather/Governor has yet to account for billions in Federal hurricane relief funds (not spent, not returned to the Treasury, and the moolah doesn't show on the Joisey books).
Is there ANYONE outside of NJ, who dares to call themselves an American, who would vote for this lump of a rumpkin?
I'll answer that: a lot of Democrats would. Maybe the real reason the Hildebeestie won't declare for POTUS is that the (D)onkeys are going to draft Christie...
From the Coyote Kid, who notes that these environazis may be long on enthusiasm, but they are woefully short on smarts.
Environazi attack planning:
1. Pick the next four people in the cell seeking placement in the Environazi Hall of Fame.
2. Gather equipment: bicycle u-locks and chain to chain the protestors to the target, also some glue to create further mischief.
3. Transport selves to target, an eeevilll Fracking Energy Company gas station.
4. While proprietor is distracted, chain selves to the gas pumps, deploy the glue to further damage the equipment.
5. Smile for the cameras of the sympatico news media, read the official and obligatory statement condemming fracking and other non-socialist activities.
6. Wait for the constabulary, who had to spend a lot of time delicately cutting locks and chains off of protesters.
7. Declare a victory in the name of Gaia.
According to this report, the op plan was flawlessly executed, save for one thing: the gas station these environazis attacked didn't belong to the eeevilll targeted Fracking Energy Company anymore, it belonged to an individual private person, one Mr. Patel.
In one swell foop, these e-nazis have not only made laughingstocks of themselves and their cause, they attacked the property of a friendly foreign-born person. These Indian immigrants have sufficient numbers and cohesiveness in England to cause grave political consequences for any who attack them. They are the equivalent of our Latin voting bloc.
According to this Newsmax article, Rush Limbaugh has hammered the MSM for sensationalizing the cold wave to further the aims of the Anthropogenic Global Warming Agenda fraudsters.
I have to call out Rush on this one. I have listened to maybe ten MSM TV reports on the cold wave, as they have been Story #1 for 4 days now, and not ONE of them mentioned ANY connection to any AGW bulltwaddle.
Yes, the previously-unheard term "Polar Vortex" was used, but the term was explained with the graphic Rush mentioned. That graphic is a standard scientific depiction of an upper-air low pressure area, which have been called (correctly) by the term "vortex" in the past. All the explanations of the displacement of the Arctic Low, or Polar Vortex, have been accurate.
If Rush had been premptive, he would have been correct, but he presented something as fact which didn't happen, the AGW connection to the new use of weather terminology, and I have seen none of that connection.
Technology changes, and so the language changes to present that new technology. That is normal and proper. The fight against the AGW fraud is trending in the favor of real science, and this trend is good news. Phony political hype against the trend of scientific correctness is not useful, no matter who slings that feces into the news-fan.
