Iraqi terrorist lies in a heap of bodies as Marines enter a mosque for the second time to supress gunfire coming from it. Iraqi terrorist is alive, but wounded. Does he yell "help me" or "Don't shoot" or "I surrender"?
Nope, he slides sideways a little, saying nothing. Marine yells "Fuck, one's moving". Terrorist still gives no hint of peaceful surrender. Marine shoots him. NBC films all, then puts film on network TV and says "War Crime".
Who was right, NBC or the Marine?
The liberals are fond of putting everything into "law enforcement" scenarios, so let me do just that. I was a cop for 25 years, so I know this stuff.
Cops go to serve a warrant on a major meth lab. They go with a SWAT team, because they know from reliable informants that there are automatic weapons there. SWAT pulls up and the crooks immediately engage them with gunfire. SWAT carries out a Mark One Mod Zero house clearing operation, and as they enter a fortified room, there are several dead bodies holding several guns. One body moves. A SWAT member challenges verbally. The man down continues movement but says nothing. The SWAT team fires on him and he is killed.
It all goes to Grand Jury. The District Attorney speaks to the GJ, and cites the "Furtive Movements Doctrine".
The Grand Jury rules Justifiable Homicide.
NBC knows all this, yet they still chose to air the story without running it by the Marine command first. They opted for the sensational, hoping to stir some anti-US sentiment.
Here's what they stirred instead: War is hell, and NBC sucks.
Join the boycott, buy nothing any NBC advertisment is selling.
Here, here! I served for 5 years in the United States Marine Corps, and I wish some of these sorry ass reporters (or anybody else for that matter) actually were in a situation where there life was on the line before they say anything.

Liberating Paris should be easy, we send in a troop of Cub Scouts with Water Guns, the Unconditional surrender should take about 3 minutes.
As for the Marine in Fallujah, he deserves a bronze star. He probably saved at least one life by popping that worthless piece o' crap!

The problem with boycotting NBC's advertising is that I never watch the network so I don't *know* who advertises with them.

Today Fallujah... tomorrow we liberate Paris...
But only after they ask... twice!
