Here is a preview photo of the wreath I will lay at Sgt. Plumondore's military Memorial Service tomorrow, for those who can't be there.
Here is the Heraldry:
Here's a preview of the wreath, lit by the last rays of the Oregon sun on the last day before Adam returns home to Rest.
The leaf body is Laurel, to signify a Champion, The flowers are Yellow Roses, to signify one of the Colors of the Regiment, and to remind us that Adam waits for us, now, and so reminding us of our duty as he did his. The Ribbons are White, to signify the purity of the Honor and Devotion to Duty of this man of men. The words inscribed theron are Gold, to signify that no higher Honor may be expressed.
Thank you Kim, for giving us those words.
I will blog about the Service tomorrow. A little "wardriving" around Lacey should find me a high-speed hotspot to post some pictures from.
Very nice very nice indeed. May we be able to honor him, if only a tenth as much as he has honored (and given) us and his country. RIP Sgt Plumondore.
