Thank you so much for the mention Rivrdog - I hope more people hear the Clarion Call and are motivated to do more than just write a check. Boots on the ground MATTER.

However - I still maintain I'm no Angel. Angels will get me and Douglas to where we're going safely. I'm no hero. I'm doing what needs to be done. You listed three of us doing what needs to be done, there are hundreds or thousands more of us, doing what needs to be done. It's not heroic, it's American. The day that being a real American is heroic is the day that this country has more problems than I'm ready to deal with.

And unfortunately, I don't consider myself a gunblogger - I don't have enough to say to run my own blog, although I frequently comment on gunblogs :) Just a technical point there...

But Thank You Very Much, Rivrdog, for calling me a Patriot. That label, that compliment, I'll accept with both pride and humility. I'm proud to be an American. I thank the grace of God that I was born an American. And I'll do my best to be an American that my kids, when Lisa and I have them, can use as a guide on how to be Americans.
