The question then is: What is the Constitution?
The SCOTUS was not supposed to determine that, just whether laws fit it.
Is it an anachronism to support the constitution when those in power do not recognize it?
I don't think so. It's just that to defend it, you will be in opposition to those in power.
I don't think it's time for bullets yet. Still Ballots.
Hope is not a town in Arkansas. And I live in Hope.

I once knew a guy, a fellow officer, who was fed up with what he saw as changes in the way our Army conducted itself. This occurred under the Clinton administration. At about this time, he had to fill out a security form for a new Top Secret clearance, and while filling out the form, he came to the question: Do you support or advocate the overthrow of the United States Government by force or violence? He circled "violence" with his pen, completed the rest of the form, signed it and sent it in.

The NSA was not amused.
