Gee, the one I rode was different. It was a sort of plastic trough with a 4 wheeled toy boat in it, with the "Bremsen" lever in the middle that bore down on the middle of the trough. You sat on it with no seat belts, and nothing that fastened you to the track.
This one looks like it has seat belts and is fastened to the track by the position of the wheels.
Somehow I doubt the one pictured would be that hard to run without brakes.

Sommerodelbahn! One of those funny German compound words snapped together like Legos. I did this in Flachau, Austria, in 1985. Way fun, and like the Ferrari, the redline is in your gut.
