Back in his day, Kenny Roberts (motorcycle roadracer '75-'85 approx) stated that Sears Point (Infineon) was the most technically challenging track in the US. It was his home track. It was the first track I raced on. You learned to pay attention at all times, or it would hurt you. There was no place you could relax. Well, maybe a few seconds between 6 and 7.

I learned a lot racing there. Other tracks were not so intimidating to me after running most of a season there. Even the AMA pros rode conservatively there, because it was so dangerous. Laguna Seca (Monterey) was somewhat similarly hazardous with the original layout. It's been changed, and is a bit safer.

Trivia: A movie was filmed at Sears Point, "Little Fauss and Big Halsy" starring Robert Redford, 1970
Johnny Cash did the soundtrack album
