Personally, I think PawPaw would have done a bit better if he had obtained a pocket hammer for that snubbie, so there would have been a surface to get a grip with the thumb, for cocking and de-cocking. There isn't enough metal in the spur hammer to make this mod. Would have to be welded up after removing the spur, to work with the original hammer. Certainly an option if you want to retain the original trigger feel, though.

Next time I'm at that range, I'll have to see if I can use the 100yd range for my snubbies, and find out what difference there would be between single and double action on the Charter, at least.
